Interlake High School is a public high school in Bellevue, Washington, and offers the International Baccalaureate program. The school is part of the Bellevue School District No. 405, and the school's teams are known as the "Saints". The current principal is Sharon Collins, with assistant principal Russell White and interim assistant principal Art Kuehn.

The school opened in 1967 and between 1970 and 1986 the school was modernized and expanded[citation needed]. Beginning in 1997, the school has been an International Baccalaureate Organization school[1].

Highest enrollment: 1,700 in 1986-87[citation needed] Lowest enrollment: 721 in 2004-05[citation needed]

In 2003 the Interlake High School Construction Project was initiated[2]. A large section of the original school was demolished, and a two-story facility was put in as a replacement. The school now includes a performing arts center which seats 377 and a central exterior plaza. The technology building and horticulture building were remodeled.

The project was nearly completed by August 2005 at a cost of US$45 million[citation needed].

According to the Bellevue School District website for Interlake High School, the enrollment for the 2006-2007 school year was 865[3].

[edit] PRISM at Interlake

The PRISM program continuation from Stevenson Elementary School and Odle Middle School to Interlake began in 2006, allowing students to take the program through high school. Due to PRISM program continuation and the IB program, which will be taken one year earlier by students in the PRISM program, at Interlake, the faculty expects to see a student population increase.[citation needed]

Saints Robotics

Saints Robotics is a [FIRST] Robotics team with over twenty committed students. They meet after school on Wednesdays and work on building a robot for the annual FIRST competition. They also maintain a website, participate in the 3D animation competition and are involved in their community.


Amnesty International

[Amnesty International] is a club that works to prevent and end abuses of human rights. They do various projects such as selling T-shirts to promote awareness of the crisis in [Darfur].
