Inter RAO UES

Inter RAO UES is an electricity trading and holding company in Russia. The company was established in May 1997 by RAO UES. Today RAO UES owns 60% of shares in Inter RAO UES, while rest of 40% is owned by Russian nuclear energy producer Rosenergoatom.

Inter RAO UES ownes subsidiaries in 14 countries. In Armenia, the company owns Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant, the cascade of seven hydroelectric power plants on the river Razdan, and Armenian Power Grid. In Georgia RAO UES ownes power company Mtkvari energetika, Khrami hydroelectric power plants, and distribution company Telasi. In Kazakhstan the company operates GRES-2 Power Station Ekibastusz, in Moldova Moldavskaya GRES, and in Tajikistan Sangtudinskaya hydroelectric power plant. Trading companies are established in Finland (RAO Nordic Oy), in Turkey (TGR Enerji) and in Ukraine (Inter RAO UES Ukraine). Company has also several power stations in Russia.
