From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Intelligent Currency Validation Network, Inc. (“ICVN”) is a privately held Maryland Corporation founded in 2001 by Theodore George “Ted” Paraskevakos. ICVN[1] was formed to help combat all cash related crime by exploiting the uniqueness of currency serial numbers thereby removing the anonymity of cash. The technology is used to electronically tag the currency serial numbers with various types of transaction information, including links with biometrics, to create a tracking history allowing cash to be validated and tracked through a global network. The same technology is used with regard to negotiable instruments such as personal checks, travelers checks and money orders. ICVN’s technology is patented in Greece,[1]The United States,[2] and Canada[3]and numerous other patent applications have been filed domestically and internationally.
