The chart was created at Create A Graph, a free online graph creation tool at the National Center for Education Statistics website. The SVG files are downloaded as gzipped files. They must be unzipped before uploading to the commons. Find a decompression tool at Comparison of file archivers. For example; 7-Zip, a popular [1], free and open-source file archiver that unzips gzip and also works with Unicode.   • The statistics for the chart come from B'Tselem at this page. On that page there is the total of 44 "Palestinians killed by Israeli civilians." Also there is the total of 870 "Palestinians who were killed by Israeli security forces and it is not known if they were taking part in the hostilities." Adding those 2 numbers together comes to 914. That is the number listed as "Unknown" in the chart here.
