INTERACTIVE UNIX System V/386 is a port of the UNIX System V operating system for Intel x86 processors.
The system was first released by INTERACTIVE Systems Corporation (ISC) as 386/ix in 1985. At that time it was based on System V.3.0. Later versions were based on System V.3.2. Sun Microsystems acquired ISC in 1992 from its parent Eastman Kodak; the last version was "System V/386 Release 3.2 Version 4.1.1" released in July 1998. Official support ended in July 2006, 5 years after Sun withdrew the product from sale.
