This is a privately-held company, so it doesn't receive the same amount of media coverage that one of the same size with shares traded on a stock market would. Still, I think the fact that it attracts speakers such as those listed at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Institute_for_International_Research&oldid=121395298 is a strong argument for notability. The article on Irvine Laidlaw, Baron Laidlaw states that the company was sold in 2005 "for a sum believed to be in the order of £775M". --Eastmain 00:14, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
