"Inner City Blues" was the final and second single from Angela Winbush's third album, Angela Winbush. It was a cover of the Marvin Gaye song "Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)", which was a top ten pop/number-one R&B single in 1971, for Winbush the song was less successful, even though the video was in heavy rotation on VH-1 and BET, the single missed the top forty, and peaked at number 49.
