[edit] necessity

This image is rationaled to "[illustrate] the episode in question and aids commentary on the plot outline." However, the scene illustrated isn't even mentioned in the article, nor does it significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic (the episode). (WP:NFCC#8) The infobox for "In Marge We Trust" does not need an image; the other (Image:Mrsparkle.png) certainly does meet the muster of WP:NFCC and is appropriately placed. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 03:19, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

It's the episode's main plot, and the image itself "sums up" the entire Lovejoy plot. I think it is alot more necessary than the Mr. Sparkle image, as that is only the B-plot. Gran2 07:52, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
You may be right, but the crux is that the image isn't necessary. It is neatly illustrative, but doesn't matter to the article's understandability as the excellent prose does it and then some. Think about it, if the image were removed, would the article be any harder to understand w/o an image of Reverend Lovejoy in his church? No. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 18:44, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
