Is it just me, or almost this whole article about what the company did wrong? (Darkskul 19:02, 25 February 2007 (UTC))

I agree. If the company was wise, they would send a representative to post here on the talk page. We need additional information and references to properly balance the article. They can wait for some editor to come along and do all that work, or they can facilitate the process by supplying information that we can verify and use. [edit] Defamatory Material Removed

Today I had some free time, so I looked at the labor dispute section. There were no valid sources (a reference to the union's press release doesn't count). The material was highly POV and used inflammatory language. I therefore deleted the whole thing. Feel free to reconstruct that from scratch if you can find some reliable sources. Otherwise, the material doesn't belong in this article. Jehochman (Talk/Contrib) 16:51, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Neutrality disputed

Is the 'neutrality disputed' box still necessary? It seems to me (judging from a glance at the talk page and history) the dispute was related to the labor dispute and 'the wrongdoings'. IMHO this box should be removed. CjDMaX 20:20, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

  • I've tweaked the wording for the ethics investigations so that's more NPOV, and have detagged it, seems fine now. --Firien need help? 15:38, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Removed Incorrect Information

My name is Martin Boer and I work in External Communications at ING Group in Amsterdam. I can be reached at martin.boer@ing.com / Today I removed two erroneous references to ING having offices and made an acquisition in Bosnia-Herzegovina. This is simply not true. I have also removed references to our former CFO, Cees Maas, who retired a few months ago. This is my first time on Wikipedia so please do inform me if this needs to be handled in a different way. Best wishes, Martin Boer. martinboer 14:40, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

That's fine. This appears to be a strict factual issue and you were very up front about it. If you think any change would be controversial in the future, I recommend you suggest it here (on talk) and let others have the final say. I have made another change to the "Key people" section by adding John Hele, the new CFO, and using official titles. All three people are cited to their profiles on ING's web site.
