Parameters in red are required fields.

Parameter Explanation
image An image of an identifying scene in the episode; should be resized to 250px.
caption A caption for the image.
episode_name The title of the episode. See List of The Wire episodes for titles.
episode_no The overall episode number, in order of airdate. See List of The Wire episodes for the number.
epigraph Each episode of The Wire is presented with an epigraph, usually a line of dialogue spoken by one of the characters in the episode. The quote should be written within quotation marks, followed by a line break (<br>), a space, a normal dash (-), another space, and the character's name (see below). The text is automatically italicized.
teleplay The Wire utilizes "teleplay by" and "story by" credits instead of the usual "written by." Use this for the teleplay...
story ...and this for story.
writer However, for one episode, the series actually uses "written by" credits. Use this for that episode.
director The director or directors of the episode.
guest_star A list of the guest stars in the episode, separated by line breaks. Because The Wire episodes features so many guest stars, it is advisable to list the guest stars in a separate section ("Guest stars") and link to that section using the following: [[#Guest stars|see below]] (italicized).
prod_code The episode's production code. See this list at epguides for production codes.
airdate The date of the original broadcast of the episode; use {{Start date}}
season The season of the series the episode belongs to. The season number is spelled out (i.e. one, two, three, four, or five).
