• name = The name of the race, most likely the title of the article
  
• image = This could be a logo for the race or a picture of the event, whichever is decided to be better (a free picture would be best)
  
• first_run = Date or year the event was first held
  
• location = Location of the event; use of a country flag icon would be helpful
  
• distance = Distance of the race; also for applicable standardized terms (like marathon)
  
• registration = The number of verified, registered participants

How about changing Registration to Participants?
