Template talk:Infobox Malaysian public transit system

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[edit] Proposed renaming

The box is not reflecting the regional extent of the transport system. While it's suitable for lines exclusive in Kuala Lumpur (i.e. the KL Monorail), virtually all lines stretch beyond the city and into other states (Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, to be specific). And then there's the possibility of more transit systems in other states, including Penang, Putrajaya and Johor.

I suggest ditching the Kuala Lumpur centric-ness of the box by:

  • Renaming Template:Infobox Public Transit Kuala Lumpur to Template:Infobox public transit system in Malaysia.
  • Removing the Kuala Lumpur City Hall logo and heading of the box, which obviously reflect a bias towards the city. Any attempts to include the "Kuala Lumpur public transit system" heading will have to be done in the {{{system_name}}} field or through other means.

So sorry for the late response, was busy with RL, job interviews, preparations et. al. Yeah thanks, would agree with your points. To be frank, I'm open for any suggestions on whatever name people think is suitable for the infobox or what to put, I'm here just to do one (seeing that previously there were no infoboxes, just generic tables). Just tell me what else and how you want them and I'll try my best. On a personal, non Wiki related note, I found that the Penang, JB, and all the others LRT extensions hooh-hah have been quiet lately, apart from the extra 88 trains signed and purchased for the Kelana Jaya line. So the only thing to look forward to now seems to be the 21st April opening of the Rawang-Rasa shuttle line, and the fast shuttle Ipoh-KL service. For the Rawang-Rasa line, perhaps you'd want to discuss at the Rawang-Seremban talk page on whether to do a new article on it or let it be as it is. --Bukhrin 16:40, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
