For golf clubs, resorts, etc. If any line is left blank then that line will not show up. So if a resort/club only has one course, leave the others blank, or if no info on the topic then leave blank.

location      = city and state/province for the facility, include {{flagicon}} template for country
establishment = year the facility was established
type          = public or private
owner         = name of organization/company which owns the facility, wikilink if article exists
operator      = name of organization/company which runs the facility, wikilink if article exists
holes         = total number of holes at club/resort (sum of all individual courses)
tournaments   = regualar tournaments held if any, wikilink if article exists
website       = url for facility
course1       = individual course name, can leave blank if same as article title
designer1     = course designer for course1, wikilink if article exists
par1          = course par for course1
length1       = yardage from championship (or longest) tees for course1
rating1       = course rating for course1
record1       = course record - name (and year) for course1
course2       = leave this blank if only one course
designer2     =

[edit] Merge with Golf Course

I prefer this template's handling of multiple courses. Golf Facility could possibly use the "record" field from Golf Course. Hoof Hearted 19:55, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

I am assuming you mean the Facility template, and I agree which is why I made the template. Most "courses" are several courses as few 18 hole or 9 hole courses that are part of a golf club are going to be notable enough for their own article. Plus every item is optional, so if it's not filled out it doesn't show up, which means a single 18 hole course can simply not fill in the "course name" field and still use it. I agree the "record" field could be added to each course option. And by the way for those wondering why the title is this way, I wanted broad inclusion for Golf Resort, Golf Club, etc., but stayed away from Golf Club since people might think it is for woods & irons. Well, since it's been two weeks I'll go ahead and supercede Template:Infobox Golf Course with Template:Infobox Golf Facility. Nice job on your template. As I was changing over templates I noticed a few had fields for "longest Hole" (Augusta National Golf Club, for example). Do you think this is necessary to include? I don't think its necessary, but it doesn't hurt. And with everything optional, if an article doesn't have it no big deal. Most articles barely fill out half of the fields, so one more won't matter. Aboutmovies 20:37, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
