Template talk:Infobox Automobile engine

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Not wishing to screw things up, I just note that: although block and head suffice for the majority of contemporary auto engines, for engines such as the Corvair, Porsche (I assume) and VW, there are separate crankcase and cylinder rather than a single block; and for some engines there was monobloc (cylinders and head cast as one piece, separate crankcase) construction. I suggest that the template have these added, so as to read
| block =
| head =
| crankcase =
| cylinder barrels =
| monobloc =
Also, looks like it could use some added specs to cover Wankels, e.g. rotor materials, housing materials, rotor thickness (instead of bore and storke), etc. Gzuckier 16:02, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
