Template:Infobox Magazine/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a documentation subpage for Template:Infobox Magazine (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

To use this template please add the following code to the top of the article.

Note: If you have no information for a certain parameter please just blank it rather than removing it so that other editors can see that it needs adding at a later stage

{{Infobox Magazine
|title =
|image_file =
|image_size =
|image_caption =
|editor =
|editor_title =
|previous_editor =
|staff_writer =
|frequency =
|circulation =
|category =
|company =
|publisher =
|firstdate =
|country =
|based =
|language =
|website =
|issn =
}}

If the magazine is defunct, include the finaldate and finalnumber parameters. If the magazine is still publishing, these parameters should be omitted entirely:

|finaldate =
|finalnumber =

If a breakdown into paid, unpaid and total circulation figures is desired, use the following lines instead of the circulation parameter:

|paid_circulation =
|unpaid_circulation =
|total_circulation =

The image parameter is available for backwards compatibility, but is deprecated in favour of image_file, image_size and image_caption. The image parameter requires a complete wiki image definition link.

The company parameter should list the publishing company. The publisher parameter should be the named person who publishes the magazine.

The previous_editor parameter should include earlier, notable, editors. In particular, the founding editor (if different from current editor), to a reasonable maximum number.
