The first IAQ I saw was seebs' April fool's post on comp.lang.c, which he says started in 1995. I'm not sure that limiting the scope of this article to video games is appropriate. -- Coneslayer 19:32, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

There are a large number of IAQs, many of which predate the handful of parody IAQs from the gamer FAQ community (some of which predate the C IAQ as well), and many of which are far more notable and come up much earlier in a Google search for either the abbreviation or the spelled-out phrase. Most of these are on technical or geeky topics (as were most FAQs in the 90s). Some are serious, some are satirical or whimsical. Here are the relevant results from the first pages of the Google searches (although some, including the first two, are Infrequently Answered Questions--questions that have often been asked without receiving satisfactory answers):
I don't think the concept of IAQs for fictional games is really notable enough to deserve an article. The wider concept of IAQs might be worthy, but I think a brief mention in the FAQ article and a redirect is probably all that's necessary.
If IAQs do deserve an article, does anyone remember which IAQ gave the pronunciation (like "yak")? --75.36.131.194 16:29, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] CidFighter by Fritz Fraundorf (1998)

Wasn't a game similar to this eventually made? I mean, FFVII game that was more of a shooter/fighter than an RPG. If so, I think that might deserve a mention, if only for disambiguation purposes.
