It would be useful to explain the differences between information society and informational society [[User:Vrykolaka|Reply to Vrykolaka]] 04:18, 24 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I'm not so sure if there are any -- maybe the best thing would be to merge both articles, information society and informational society? -- till we | Talk 08:59, 24 Jan 2005 (UTC)

There is a slight difference between information and informational society that stems from Manuel Castells' conceptualization and introduction of the term "informational society" as a successor of the term "industrial society". I expand the article with description of this difference as soon as I find a while to do that..I think there is nothing more to say about this term - only the reasons for Castells' distinction between these two terms and subsequent critique of this distinction ;] 62.240.180.103 22:08, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
