Infantilism may refer to one of the following.
Interests and mainly psychological conditions:
- Paraphilic infantilism involves the desire to wear diapers and be treated as an infant or toddler.
- Psychosexual infantilism, a concept introduced by Freud
Mainly physiological conditions:
- Sexual infantilism, more precisely called genital infantilism involves arrested development of sexual organs observed for some endocrine and congenital disorders affecting sexual development, also listed in the article on delayed puberty. This symptom is associated with a number of syndromes.
- Adiposogenital dystrophy, a synonym of ... sexual infantilism.
There are also other obsolete uses of the term infantilism.
