This is a discography of R.E.M., an American alternative rock group formed in Athens, Georgia. R.E.M. has released fourteen studio albums, _____ singles, one live album, one extended play, seven compilation albums, and _____ box sets. This list does not include material performed by members or former members of R.E.M. that was recorded with Hindu Love Gods, The Minus 5, or Tuatara.
R.E.M. was formed in 1980 by vocalist Michael Stipe, guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills, and drummer Bill Berry.
