Talk:Indirect rule
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is regretable: "Indirect rule" is normally traced, as a concept, to British Africa. For more, see Frederick Lugard. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 18:50, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Awful article
I assume taken verbaitum from the 1911 Britanica. Lugard, as above, should be integrated, and there should at least be "See also" pointers to existing wikipedia articles that cover this concept.
I did some small cleaning, but it needs much more. e.g. calling colonized rulers "Heathen princes" is cringe-worthy.T L Miles 15:35, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
