Indonesian Canadians form one of Canada's smaller minority groups. 7,610 respondents to the 1991 census stated their place of birth as "Indonesia".[2] Around half settle in the Greater Toronto Area.[1] Estimates suggest that four out of five Indonesians in Canada are of Chinese descent; however, most do not speak any variety of Chinese.[2]
