Independent School League (Illinois)

The Independent School League (ISL) in Illinois comprises ten schools in the Chicago metro area. The main component of an ISL school is academic rigor. Most classes are small, allowing for individual attention. The Independent Schools also offer a wide variety of courses and extracurricular programs. Several of these schools are also members of the Illinois High School Association.

The following nine schools are part of the ISL:

• Lake Forest Academy
• The Latin School of Chicago
• Morgan Park Academy
• Northridge Prep
• North Shore Country Day School
• University of Chicago Laboratory Schools
• Willows Academy
• Woodlands Academy
