From 1967 to 1977, five counties near Chicago, IL and 5 counties in and around Evansville, IN observed DST in the Central Time Zone; Five counties near Louisville, KY and Cincinnati, unofficially observed DST in the Eastern Time Zone; and the other 77 counties in Indiana observed Eastern Standard Time throughout the year.
