I think having the separate article is better. Merge? NO! Vaoverland 01:14, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

I also vote no for the merge. Not all towns are incorporated towns. An incorporated town is a specific type of town. For example, in Illinois, there are a few municipalities (like villages and cities) called incorporated towns; however, within the same state there are also unincorporated townships, which are sometimes simply called towns. In my opinion, Town should actually become a disambiguation page. Squideshi 03:53, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
There is a great deal of diversity between municipalities across the United States. Each state has created their own version of what cities and towns (and villages and townships) do. I would not merge them. I also think that we should get a group of people interested in local government matters to get together and make a project of it. Brian Sayrs 20:31, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
