The Mysterious Island was not quite a 'sequel' to this novel. It was a seperate novel that did involve some previous Verne characters, like Captain Nemo from 20,000 Leagues, and Ayrton. -- Wikipedical 23:43, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

Although they are seperate novels, there's a connection between them (The Mysterious Island, In Search of the Castaways and the 20,000 Leagues) and some of their characters. peaNee
