peri-implantitis would mean inflammation of the implant!! What that does that mean? At the most it could be inflammation of the bone or the soft tissues that cover it, including periosteum. BDB 17:04, 17 September 2005 (UTC)

- When searching pubmed, the term per-implantitis seems to be in use but almost exclusively for dental implants. --WS 13:48, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
