Impact, in direct and metaphoric sense, is a collision or conflict between two physical bodies, ideas or behaviours. It may also indicate a strong reaction on consequences of a particular event.

Impact leads to significant changes of one or both involved abstract or physical objects, for example: destruction, war, negotiation, modification of social and cultural habits, as well as the introduction of a new technology or modification of natural environmental conditions.
