I'm just a user who likes to help by cleaning up and enhancing images to make them easier to see on screen.
If you have an image; such as an old painting that needs a bit of TLC please list it below. I will download it clean it up and reload it with the same title with the word 'cleaned' on the end.
Then it's up to you to edit the article it's used in to show the cleaned image. Unless anyone knows how to replace the image concerned with the same title.
[edit] Images
Very nice! I'll note, incidentally, that the images you cleaned up are on the Wikimedia Commons; if you could upload the cleaned versions there, they could be used across the various projects. —Kirill Lokshin 16:24, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
In regard to your question on replacing images: you can upload a cleaned image to the same file name as the original, and it will then replace the original in articles without the need for further edits. —Kirill Lokshin 16:26, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- I think that you will need to create a separate login for the Commons (although you're free to use the same username); the developers have been working on a cross-project login system, but it's not quite finished yet.
- As far as overwriting images: you'll get a warning, but I believe there should be an option to overwrite the image anyway. —Kirill Lokshin 16:39, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
