Hello,
I am one of the thousands of volunteer writers for the English-language version of the Wikipedia website, where I work primarily on music-related articles. I have just noticed that the article about the wind quintet:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wind_quintet
has no photo of an actual wind quintet. Since I have for some time been on the mailing list of the Imani Winds, and find them to be one of the finest and most striking wind quintets active today, I immediately thought that it would be wonderful if the representative photo of a wind quintet in that article could be a photo of the Imani Quintet.
Thus, I wonder if you might consider making a photo of the group available for this purpose (to add to the top right of the Wind Quintet article at the English-language Wikipedia. The photo should preferably be a professional/studio portrait that shows both the players and instruments clearly. I've seen such photos in the group's promotional materials in the past, but can't find a suitable one on their website at the moment (the professional one on the main page has the players spread out and the instruments aren't clearly visible).
On the Wikipedia page, the photo would be credited to the photographer, and we'd of course also make a link to the Imani website. The only stipulation is that the photo would need to be released under a "free" license (preferably under what's called the "GFDL license") so that it could be reused free of charge by anyone who finds it on the Wikipedia page, including educational use, commercial use, or any other use.
If you'd be amenable to allowing one of the group's photos to be used in this manner, I think it would be of great educational value--and promote the Imani Quintet to the world at the same time, as Wikipedia is currently one of the top 5 most visited websites.
Thank you for your consideration and all the best,
--
