[edit] Summary

Morgan Hill School was built by architect, William Henry Weeks. It was Morgan Hill High School, then Morgan Hill Elementary School. It was closed in 1988. The City of Morgan Hill, California purchased the property from the Morgan Hill Unified School District and ultimately decided to destroy the school to build a community center. A small group of concerned citizens saved the building from the wrecking ball, and the school was moved from the corner of Main and Dunne Avenues to Llagas Road where it was renovated and reopened as Carden Academy.
