[edit] History

The first Ilha da Kosta establishment was owned by Inácio Silva, he founded it in 1980. The main restaurant is still located there he hired Paulo Deodato Lucena as a waiter. The restaurant was a commercial failure and in 1982, it's owner gave the estabilishment to Deodato de Severino Inácio (Biu.)

Severino got cheered up. With his salesman experience, he brought the restaurant to fame. He invited his brother Zé and his friend Erasmo to help him. Biu invested a large amount of money in the restaurant.

They reopened the restaurant with it's former name. The three friends had to work even harder in the restaurant, because people would not come there very often, they did a large advertising campaign that resulted in a huge commercial success.

After the restaurant's success, they began to focus more in young people and tourists, making great "Super-size" dishes and hiring even more workers.
