It is hardly offset quality, I would say.

it depends on what you consider offset quality. At our place we use it for most tasks cause it can do Pantones amazingly well. but for some solids we run it on the press, it also doesn't do some colours well (e.g. orange). BadCRC 22:37, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
I don't think it is even close to offset quality. It's handling of gradients and large, solid color areas is terrible. I will admit that is matches Pantones well (better than most pressmen). The quality isn't noticeably better than many smaller, cheaper Xerox printers.
