Ifrit is the alias of Vegard Haugland, an experienced Wikipedian from Bergen, Norway. He has been an active user of Wikipedia for years, but has not had a user page some of that time. He is a third year "college" dropout whose interests include: video games, literature, linguistics, psychology, philosophy, anime, Photoshop and web design, and he currently works as an ICT Technician apprentice.

The nickname Ifrit was chosen because of his fascination for the mythological creature Efreet.
