If you're reading this, it's too late is the sequel to The Name of this Book is Secret in the Secret Series, by Edie Bilmann, under the pen name, Pseudonymous Bosch. It is to be released in September 2008 and features the same characters as the first book.

For 500 years, the The Midnight Sun has been waiting for the homunculus, the man-made man, to rise, and now the evil Dr L and Ms Mauvais are going to throw Cass and Max-Ernest to the sharks unless they tell them where he is.

Cass has become the holder of the Sound Prism, but how is this ball of sound supposed to help her find the homunculus? What does he know about the buried secrets of the alchemist? And since she has been grounded, how is she supposed to finish her mission?
