"If You Were with Me Now" is a pop–R&B song written by British songwriting team Stock and Waterman, Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue and American R&B singer Keith Washington for Minogue's fourth studio album Let's Get to It (1991). The song was produced by Stock and Waterman and received a mixed reception from music critics. It was released as the second single in the fall of 1991 due to a favourable reaction from radio stations and reached number four in the United Kingdom and the top ten in Ireland and South Africa. The song is notable for being Minogue's first hit single to feature her as a co-writer. As Minogue recorded her vocals in London and Washington recorded his in the United States, the two had not met until the music video filming. Curiously, at no moment of the video they appear together, and there is no obvious signs that the scenes of each of them were recorded at the same location.

The Australian 12" Single had I Guess I Like It Like That as the A-side. This resulted in a large club hit for many years. As I Guess I Like It Like That was only released on 12" record as an A-side, it failed to make an impact on the ARIA chart.
