This book mentions that the ruins of Nauvoo were bought by the Icarians. Just thought it might be a useful source to cite. Peace, CaliforniaKid 19:45, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

I don't know if the Mormon temple was still standing, but the Icarians bought the Mormon property at Nauvoo because they wanted the buildings, because they were organized for a style of communal living (dormitories, workshops, common dining area) that fit the Icarians' utopian model.Avt tor 17:48, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
