Talk:IBM JX

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This was the first computer I used as a kid. It most certainly ran standard PC software, although it didn't take standard ISA adapter cards, just like the PCjr.

When we got this computer, it ran DOS 2.11, which made the 3.5" drives "pretend" to be 360kB drives. We later upgraded to DOS 3.21, which supported 720kB disks. It also supported an external 10MB hard disk. It was binary compatible with all manner of DOS software as was common during that day, such as Flight Simulator II, IBM PASCAL compiler, etc.
