The IBM 5151 is a monochrome monitor that was shipped with the original IBM Personal Computers. It only produces green colors because it uses P1 phosphor. The monitor was meant to be hooked up to an IBM MDA (monochrome display adapter) which had no graphics modes at all, and only supported the 80 x 25 text mode. This monitor could also be hooked up to an EGA (enhanced gracphics adapter) card, but only supported the 640 x 350 resolution for use with Windows 1.x.
