[edit] Robert Nixon (Cheshire)

"18th Century Prophet" (i.e. 1700 and later)

"Date of birth unknown, either in the reign of King Henry VII" 1457 – 1509
"or King James I." 1566 – 1625.

Do you see a bit of a problem with these dates? Fan1967 22:19, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

Note: what references I can find put him squarely in the late 15th century, in Henry's time. He's supposed to have predicted the results of the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485, which actually began Henry's reign. James I looks way too late. Fan1967 22:35, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

Thank you, Fan1967, I have done some more research (see entry) and will delve further. User:IantheLibrarian 23.55 BST, 1 July 2006

Always hard with these legendary characters, isn't it? Eighteen different versions of the story, in different centuries. To be frank, I'd never heard of this one, and my first thought was it was a hoax article, until I started doing some searching. Good luck on trying to nail it down. Fan1967 23:05, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
