I cannot imagine how this would not be notable. His death has been national news for well over a year, with one major paper in particular (The Globe and Mail) having a column that was, for a while, dedicated to coverage of the inquest surrounding the incident. That said, the point on sources is certainly reasonable, and I will add them once I figure out the syntax. While I flesh out this article I intend to draw heavily from http://www.bcnorth.ca/magazine/pages/Debi/ian/ian1.htm and from http://mostlywater.org/node/5303 . The Globe and Mail articles, unfortunately, are mostly subscriber only, is there a way to reference them? Sanchom, I like what you have done with this page. Would it be possible to work in some of the events that made this a notable national incident? For example, there was much ado about the initial lack of transparency in the investigation, including the RCMP representative who (infamously?) said that "the public doesn't have the right to know". Offhand, my writing style is less NPOV on this subject, so I'd rather you did it, but otherwise, I'd be happy to do it myself.Knave75 (talk) 05:12, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
