Ian Mckenzie

Ian Mckenzie is a performance poet. Until July 2005, he was a member of Aisle16. His 2005 solo show "Searchin' For Me Chav Princess" received critical acclaim from both The Guardian & Scotsman newspapers.

He has appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe, Glastonbury & Port Eliot Festivals, and more recently compered Latitude Festival's Poetry Arena with collaborator Pikey Paddy. He has appeared on the BBC's Newsnight Edinburgh Review, ITV's The Biz & Eastlife, and Rob Da Bank's Radio1 show (www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/robdabank) His poems can be found in Aisle16's "Live From The Hellfire Club" (Eggbox Publishing) & "Live From The Embassy Suite", "Rock>Text" (Pen & Inc. Publishing), "Lost Voices" (United Press) and both Eggbox & Mercy magazines.
He lives in Norwich where he is the regular host of The Birdcage's Benefit Scam, and where he occasionally teaches performance poetry at Norwich School Of Art & Design.
