[edit] Rationale
Image of a shot down Indian Air Force plane during the Kargil conflict. Sourced from www.defence.pk [2]
Fair use rationale text: This image, IAFshotdown.png, is being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright I (Zaindy87) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because it depicts visually, and for want of freely available images, the recovery of debris of the plane which went down as a result of actions by the Pakistan air defense soldiers. This image depicts a notable occurance during the conflict.
Moreover, the image does not come from a commercial source. The copyright is owned by the Pakistan military, and this picture has been extensiverly reproduced in Pakistan and abroad under fair use. There is no loss of revenue for any party. This is one of the few rare photographs of the war.
