Historically, Nashville is one of the South’s most important cities, with Tennessee Centennial Exposition of 1897 building a full-size reconstruction of the Parthenon. Tennessee also helped pass the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution giving women the right to vote. The 20th century, Tennessee welcomed country music making it the popular style.[3]
