[edit] Requested move

The page I Still Believe was a disambiguation page for the articles on the Brenda K. Starr and Mariah Carey versions of the song, until those two articles were merged. Disambiguation isn't needed at the moment as there is no other article on Wikipedia under this title. I didn't want to merge them straight to I Still Believe in case disambiguation was needed in the future, and the edit history for I Still Believe (Brenda K. Starr song) may have been put in jeopardy if that was the case. Extraordinary Machine 23:29, 23 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Suggested split

I originally merged the two articles on the separate versions of this song as the article on the original was not very substantial in terms of text material, and it's better to have the complete history of the song in one place so that readers won't have to visit more than one article. It is also under the 32kb article size limit (thus eliminating the need for separate articles in the first place), and other articles have a similar format, such as I'll Be There, I Will Always Love You and (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction (which is a featured article). I am opposed to the proposed split, as I doing so again is really going to stop us from making one comprehensive article in favour of two shorter ones (which would be on the same basic topic). If the article doesn't have enough info on the original, then I think the solution to this problem isn't to spread it across two articles rather than one; it's to find the info and add it to the article. Anyway, that's just my opinion. Extraordinary Machine 21:34, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A Different Split

Shouldn't there be another article for another "I Still Believe" song, the one by Tim Capello and covered by The Call? That's the one I was originally looking up when I arrived here, so maybe it's just me, but that seems a page-worthy song as well. 24.113.89.175 11:05, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sandy Lam

I went through websites, and I learned that she sang the Cantonese version of this song entitled "依然" in the 1989 album "都市觸角Part II". A year after, she sang this song in English in the 1990 Mandarin album "愛上一個不回家的人". --Gh87 02:18, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Here is English song sung by her [1]. --75.25.15.19 06:35, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hayden Panettiere's "I Still Believe"

Hayden Panettiere's "I Still Believe" is a completely different song. You can check out the video on YouTube to see for yourself.

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
