I Stand is an album by singer Idina Menzel.
Menzel enlisted Glen Ballard, best known for Alanis Morissette’s 16-times-platinum Jagged Little Pill and who has worked with Shakira, Christina Aguilera, Annie Lennox and Celine Dion. Ballard produced and co-wrote all but one of the songs on "I Stand" with Menzel.
The first single, "Brave", was released 11/7/07. On Christmas Day 2007, an EP of "Gorgeous" was released on iTunes and other online MP3 distributors.
The album debuted at #58 in the Billboard 200 making it Menzel's first album to debut on this chart.[1]
The single "Gorgeous" reached the Top Five on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart for the chart week of March 15, 2008 1. "Brave" reached the Top 20 on the Adult Contemporary chart as of March 7, 2008. The song's peak position was 19 as of March 29, 2008. 2.
