"I Get Around" is the second single from Tupac Shakur's second album Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z., and features the group that introduced him, Digital Underground. The song was originally supposed to appear on Digital Underground's album, The Body-Hat Syndrome[citation needed]. Shock G allowed 2Pac to put on his album instead[citation needed].
[edit] Commercial success
The song sold well and became 2Pac's first Top 20 single. It peaked at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and acquired certified gold status. The song was re-released on 2Pac's Greatest Hits album in 1998. The music video reached #16 on XXL's and MTV2's "25 Greatest West Coast Videos".
