"I Can't Stand It" was the lone single release from legendary guitarist Eric Clapton's 1981 "comeback" album, Another Ticket. Besides becoming a pop hit in its own right, reaching #10 on the Hot 100, it was also the very first #1 single on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. It stayed at the summit for two weeks.
