"I Can't Hate You Anymore" is a ballad that was released in late 2006 by pop singer Nick Lachey. It is the second single from his second solo album, What's Left Of Me.

[edit] Music video

The video for "I Can't Hate You Anymore" was filmed on June 27, 2006 on a beach in Malibu, California. This date was only a few days before Lachey's divorce from singer-actress Jessica Simpson became final,[citation needed] and both this fact and the rainy atmosphere that appears in the video added further poignancy to the melancholy lyrics of the song. The video premiered on MTV's Total Request Live on July 26, 2006, and debuted on the charts at #9 on July 27, 2006.[citation needed]

[edit] Chart performance

After spending some weeks in the "Bubbling Under" chart, the single finally debuted at #87 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, the single remained on the chart in low positions (90-94-99-94). The single was considered a commercial disappointment and failed to live up to the success of "What's Left of Me". It fared much better on the Pop 100 chart, peaking at #43, but again, it was not as successful as "What's Left of Me", which peaked at #5 on the Pop 100.
