My suggestion is to create sections for this article. For example: Regulation (where prolyl hydroxylases (PHDs), feedback regulators, etc can be discussed), and Target Genes (where EPO, glycolysis, etc can be discussed). Since this mostly pertains to HIF-1a, we could also create sections for the different subunits, so that time can be saved later on as data pertaining to HIF-2a grows. A blurb about sequence homology across species could also be added as a point of interest (perhaps in the introduction). I may have time to do this in a couple weeks, but it could be something to think about for anyone interested.
