Could someone explain why this genus is named after the Greek god of weddings and marriage? —Keenan Pepper 19:47, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

The name refers to the green leaflets that always occur in matching pairs, hence the Greek god of marriage. Mageslayer99 13:43, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
